Upload documents and review the borrower analysis
Use Document Center to add income and identity documents, monitor extraction, run analysis, and review the generated package before submitting it.
Before you start
- Restore an active application session and open Upload Documents from the status page, or use the borrower-only upload route after signing in.
- Have a nonempty PDF, JPG, or PNG file no larger than 10MB ready and know which visible document category it represents.
Step by step
Open Document Center
From status, choose Upload Documents. Confirm the page heading Document Center and the Add New Document panel before selecting a file.
Select the document category first
Choose W-2 (Last 2 years), Recent Paystubs (30 days), Bank Statements (60 days), Tax Return — Form 1040, Form 1099 (Income Statement), or Photo ID. A Form 1099 is an income statement, not a Form 1040 tax return. Select the matching category before uploading; do not relabel unrelated documents.
Select a file
Choose Select File, select a PDF, JPG, or PNG up to the visible 10MB limit, and wait for the response. Continue only if the file appears in Uploaded Files. If validation fails, follow the troubleshooting guidance below instead of repeatedly uploading or proceeding as though the document was saved.
Check extraction
Watch each row for Analyzing…, AI Ready, or Failed. When AI findings are available, use View AI findings to inspect the extracted income or balance, period, key figures, and notes.
Run analysis
After adding the documents you want included, select Analyze Documents & Continue. The app runs analysis on the application and uploaded documents, updates the application to ready for review, and returns to status.
Review before submitting
From status, select Review & Submit. On Review Your Loan Package, read the AI Qualification Summary and the Loan Details and Borrower Details cards, then choose Submit My Loan Package only after checking the values.
Check your work
- Uploaded Files lists the document and its processing state, and the row remains after refreshing the page.
- Analyze Documents & Continue returns to status with the application ready for review when the analysis request succeeds.
- Review Your Loan Package shows the analysis summary and the submit control before a borrower submission is recorded.
Troubleshooting
A document row remains Analyzing….
Wait for the document list to refresh, then refresh the page and inspect the row. The page polls the document list; a failed extraction is shown as Failed rather than silently treated as ready.
The browser reports an upload or validation failure.
Read the error beneath Select File. Choose a nonempty PDF, JPG, or PNG no larger than 10MB with the correct document category, then retry. If the session has expired or access is denied, return to status and restore your application session. If a valid file still fails, contact your organization’s approved support channel with the visible error, document category, format, size, and approximate time. Do not attach private borrower documents to a public help request or rename them to an unrelated category.
Analyze Documents & Continue fails or the results are incomplete.
Confirm that at least the intended files appear under Uploaded Files, then retry. AI analysis uses the profile and document statuses; it does not replace a human review of the original evidence.
The review page does not show an application.
Return to status and restore the same application session. Upload and review are borrower-guarded routes and require a current application session.
Important limits
- The Document Center says AI extracts income and key data, but extracted findings and the qualification summary are draft analysis, not verified underwriting or a loan decision.
- The upload disclosure says uploading consents to the company and licensed mortgage loan officers reviewing the information for mortgage pre-qualification. Upload only the requested original evidence and do not include passwords, one-time codes, or unrelated personal files.
- The visible upload page accepts PDF, JPG, and PNG, while brokerage original-document upload additionally supports TIFF. Use the format accepted by the specific page rather than assuming every route supports the same types.
- A selected file is not proof of a completed upload. Confirm the row appears in Uploaded Files and remains after refresh before continuing. AI extraction can fail independently after an upload is accepted.
