Add a real estate firm and assign an MLO
Create a firm record with the fields the Firm Intelligence page currently accepts, then assign an MLO from the firm card.
Before you start
- Be an Admin or Company admin with access to Firm Intelligence.
- Have a firm or team name, its brokerage, location, and a reasonably verified total-agent count.
- Have at least one MLO in the selector if you want to assign the firm immediately.
Step by step
Open Firm Intelligence
Select Operations → Firm Intelligence. If no records exist, use “Add First Firm”; otherwise use the header button “Add Firm.”
Enter the firm information
In “Add Real Estate Firm,” enter the required “Firm / Team Name.” Choose “Brokerage,” enter “Total Agents,” and optionally enter “City,” “State,” “Website,” and “Notes.”
Save the firm
Select “Add Firm.” A successful save closes the form and shows the “Firm added!” confirmation. The firm card should appear in the grid.
Assign the MLO from the card
On an unassigned card select “+ Assign”; on an assigned card select “Change.” Choose an MLO in the “Select MLO…” control. The selection saves immediately and shows “MLO assigned!”; “— Unassign —” removes the current assignment.
Review the visible firm metrics
Confirm the card shows the firm name, brokerage/location, “Assigned MLO,” the agent-penetration bar, and the monthly deal, volume, and contact counts.
Check your work
- The new firm is visible as a card after “Firm added!” appears.
- The selected person appears under “Assigned MLO” after “MLO assigned!” appears.
- The summary and card metrics refresh without requiring a second record.
Troubleshooting
The Add Firm control is disabled.
Enter a nonblank value in the required “Firm / Team Name” field. Recheck that the form is still open and submit again.
The card’s assignment did not change.
Open “Change” or “+ Assign” again, choose the intended MLO, and wait for the confirmation. Refresh once if the card does not update; if the assignment still differs, record the firm name and visible message for an administrator.
Agent penetration looks wrong.
Review the “Total Agents” value on the firm record. That headcount is used as the denominator for the visible penetration metric; correct the record through the approved administrator process rather than interpreting the percentage as verified market data.
Important limits
- A wrong Total Agents value makes the penetration metric misleading; use a source you are authorized to rely on.
- Company admin firm data is company-scoped. Do not assume the card represents every company in the platform.
- Do not enter confidential credentials or unverified license information in the Notes field.
